Christmas must be something more

“Men will live forevermore because of Christmas Day.”
Live forevermore? Does it mean we would be immortal? No, it refers to eternal life!

Went to church today and its really great to see all my batch people after so long!! (we’re the biggest batch btw) and see all the lovely people HAHA. Everyone was there, Jasmine, Shuks! Esther…Charis, Charlene, my bae Vans..Elisha, Abel, basically it’s a joyous Christmas with all my churchies! 🙂

Service was good. Everyone dressed up! Haha and there’s free buffet after service so we really feasted and the food was GONE (legit) like really FAST. We exchanged presents, and I’m super happy to receive a lot of presents this year. Cup from esther, socks and facial masks from Shuks, hand cream (my fav!) from Aunty Yen, The Paper Stone Notebook from Charlene, Trench coat from my mum, earrings from my Aunt, cookies….chocolates…towels..more 🙂
But is that all to Christmas? About presents, decorations, food, spending time with family and loved ones, that’s all? Are we that superficial?

WHAT Christmas?
We cannot be blamed for the fact that the concept of Christmas has been commercialized over the years. With all the pop culture, relationship “goals” or even the materialism of this world….sadly Christmas has slowly lost its meaning, no?

WHY Christmas?
Because Jesus, born in a manger, of course!

As Taylor Swift said in her song:
Is that the day holds something special
Something holy, not superficial?
So here’s to Jesus Christ who saved our lives
It’s something we all try to ignore
And put a wreath up on your door
But here’s something you should know that is for sure
Christmas must be something
Christmas must be something
Christmas must be something more

2000 years ago….in Bethlehem….
God sent His one and only son into this world just because He loves us that much. The birth of this baby is the very reason why we celebrate Christmas yay! Jesus came into this world to live as a man, but ultimately to fulfil God’s will. He came to be Saviour.

Jesus came into this world to be beaten, tortured, mocked, for all for us. He died so that we may live. He died that we may be blameless before the throne.

On Christmas day, angels proclaim, “Glory to God in the highest heaven!”
Happy Birthday Jesus!
